They don’t make ‘em like Rory Leishman anymore. He’s one of those old fashioned newsmen you only see in black and white movies these days.

As a rare non-lefty Canadian journalist, he’s fought all the good fights, particularly against activist judges. Leishman was also battling our censorious, PC-mad “Human Rights” Commissions long before the rest of us took up the cause.

This week, Rory resigned as a long-time columnist for the London (Ontario) Free Press.

He’d submitted a column to run on (ironically) September 11, detailing the connection between the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) and the Muslim Brotherhood. The LFP said they’d only run the column if Leishman removed references to two local imams. He refused, the paper spiked the column, and Leishman resigned on principle.

Western Liberals Enable Islamic Supremacism

An Inoffensive Mosque and an Offensive Kindergarten

If you believe the newspapers, a kindergarten in a town built by Jewish refugees from Yemen is about to doom all hopes for peace in the Middle East. Forget the fact that there was never any peace long before a few dozen Jews who fled Yemen built themselves a small town where they could raise their families, without being murdered for their faith or driven into ghettos– as is the fate of the last remaining Jews of Yemen. Forget a thousand years of Muslim bigotry, which time and time again have exploded into orgies of violence, pogroms of hate and terrorist atrocities. No, it is the kindergarten at Kiryat Netafim that is at fault here.

The very same headline scribblers who chastised Americans as hopelessly racist, for not wanting a mosque to be built where thousands of people had been murdered in the name of Islam, are united in denouncing the terrible evil of this kindergarten. If it were not for this kindergarten, doves would be flying overhead with olive branches. And everyone would be dancing and singing “Kumbaya.” If it weren’t for that specter of that terrible kindergarten ruining it all.

There is of course no objection to Muslims building things anywhere they want. Oil money from the gulf states is pouring in to finance Muslim construction without a word from the White House. While Jewish homes, barns and kindergartens are denounced as “obstacles to peace”, Muslim construction is not even a topic of discussion. The underlying bias behind this attitude is rather blatant. A Jewish home is illegitimate. A Muslim home is unquestionably legitimate. Just as a mosque near Ground Zero gets wrapped up in the flag, and a church gets tossed aside. The rights and wrongs always manage to come up star and crescent for Muslims, and snake eyes for everyone else.

Through that distorted lens, a kindergarten can become a threat to peace and a mosque at Ground Zero, an act of tolerance.

This past weekend, a throng—nay, a large crowd of Harvard students publicly taunted, shamed, and stalked the venerable liberal intellectual Martin Peretz. Like the jihadists who distribute videos of their beheadings, the protesters also released their mini “Aktion” on YouTube. They call it: “Party for Marty.”

These students decided to rain on “Marty’s” parade, ruin it for him on the day Harvard was honoring him. The video shows students holding up signs presumably with Peretz’s own (but out-of-context) words. It is accompanied by Lesley Gore’s girlish voice singing the 1963 popular song: “It’s My Party and I’ll Cry if I Want To.” The students are smiling, enjoying themselves, enjoying what they hope is Peretz’s enormous discomfort.

The event was to mark the fiftieth anniversary of a Social Studies program. Harvard alumni had raised additional funding for this program in Peretz’s honor. Students protested what they believe Professor Peretz wrote, thinks, is—or perhaps they were also protesting Harvard for daring to honor him.

At the end of the day, Harvard allowed Peretz to speak—but only briefly. Very briefly. Harvard still honored him. Speakers included the president of Harvard, various alumni of the Social Studies program, the president of Penn, as well as various social scientists and students.

Peretz was, essentially, silenced. But that was not enough. The righteous, self-satisfied protestors made it a point to hunt Peretz down as he tried to exit quietly, with some dignity, and mocked him continuously as they accompanied him on his long walk through Harvard Yard to his car; they also held the “offending words” posters.

Dr. Martin Peretz? Peretz is a staunch (but somewhat disappointed) Democrat—yes, he supported President Obama, and he is a rabidly old-fashioned liberal, a philanthropist, and the long-time editor-in-chief of The New Republic. Peretz was a professor at Harvard. Peretz is also the descendant of the great Yiddish writer I.L. Peretz and has funded a Chair in Yiddish Literature at Harvard which is currently held by the distinguished scholar, Ruth Wisse.

Someone needs to create a cartoon depicting American superheroes fighting islamic jihadists. Here’s an idea. How about an American female superhero, perhaps a Jewess, goes to Afghanistan and saves a 13 year old rape victim from being stoned to death by barbarians, all of whom she successfully fights off with her super human powers. I resent muslim attempts at indoctrinating American children with the assisstance of the president and American companies.

The appeal of animated cartoons can be long-lasting. I grew up in the 1960s, when the era of TV cartoon series was at its height. Until the 1950s, cartoon shorts by Disney and Warner Bros., such as Merry Melodies, Looney Tunes, Silly Symphonies, as well as Tex Avery shorts, had been designed for movie theatres, run before a main presentation. Those were added to kids’ TV schedules but cartoons were soon tailor-made for the medium of TV. William Hanna and Josef Barbera produced their own shows – with characters such as Huckleberry Hound or Yogi Bear voiced by Daws Butler. Countless other cartoon characters chased each other across the small screen, the most memorable being voiced by Mel Blanc. Cartoons were an integral part of growing up for kids around the globe.

Some cartoons from that time were pleasantly silly and some – such as Johnny Quest – tried to add something new with good drawing and ongoing narratives. Cartoons get into a person’s head at a young age, and never leave one. As I grew older, the cartoons presented to the next generation seemed lacking in fun, designed merely to promote cruddy toys, rather than to delight and entertain. Thundercats and He-Man, Transformers, were part of a roster of 1980s commercial cartoons that seemed to exist solely to promote toys.
Some cartoons had wholesome morals, but these were never forced. Wile E. Coyote never got to catch the irritating Road Runner, and his evil designs usually led to him plummeting off a cliff or being scrunched by the same rocks he intended to use as weapons.
In the Islamic world, cartoons have a more sinister purpose. In Iran, on Al-Quds Day, Iranian TV schedules are filled with cartoons about evil Israelis with red eyes, shooting and murdering innocent doe-eyed Palestinians. For older kids, the heroes fight back, and even get martyred in the cause of Allah. Al-Quds day, named after the Arab term for Jerusalem and initiated by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1983, is a time for Iranian media to reinforce Holocaust denial and anti-Semitic propaganda.

Bob Beckel Threatens Pam Geller And Defends Islamic Supremacists

“When we cut to break, Beckel chided Bolling for not bringing “Jewish slumlords” on the show (referring to Bolling’s segment on Imam Rauf’s status as a New Jersey slumlord, so named in a lawsuit against Rauf by Union City). When I heard Beckel’s Jew-hating belch, I said, “and you’re an anti-Semite.” He told me to “kiss his ass,” to which I responded that he would never get anyone anywhere in the world to get with that.”

These two statements sum up what beckel and the left are all about, America-haters and Jew-haters to the core.

What world is that slob beckel living in? As to 9/11 not having happened yesterday and therefore we should get over it, islam is still at war with us. Just within the past year there has been one successful jihadist attack and two other failed attacks. 9/11 was not an aberation which is part of the past, but part of an ongoing war still being waged against us. Israel set to stop Jewish ship en route to Gaza

UK pro-Palestinian group organizing mission says goal is to show not all Jews support Israeli policies on Palestinians; won’t resist boarding.

The navy went on high alert Sunday as a ship carrying Jewish activists set sail from northern Cyprus with the declared goal of breaking Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Called Irene, the boat is carrying a symbolic cargo of aid for the people of Gaza under a British flag.

Organizers from Jews for Justice for Palestinians said that all of the passengers were Jews from Israel, Germany, the United States or Great Britain.

“Not all Jews support Israel’s policies in Gaza,” said Richard Kuper, one of the organizers.

“We call on all nations and governments around the world to vocally protest and take action against the occupation and the blockade.”

Israel’s policy is to prevent ships from reaching the Gaza Strip, but rather have them undergo an inspection of their cargo at the Ashdod Port. This policy – that humanitarian aid must enter Gaza by land – was supported by the international community last week at a donor conference for the Palestinian Authority in the US.

“We cannot allow ships to sail freely into Gaza, since they could be carrying weaponry,” one senior defense official said.“If the ships sail into Ashdod, we will inspect the cargo and then allow it through the land crossings into the Gaza Strip.”

Kuper said that the passengers would not violently resist IDF soldiers who would likely board the vessel to stop it from sailing to Gaza. The ship was making its way to Gaza about four months after navy commandos killed nine Turkish activists while stopping a Turkish flotilla that was en route to Gaza.

The 10-meter catamaran Irene, carrying a total of nine passengers and crew members, plans to deliver toys, medical equipment and other supplies to Gaza.

One of the passengers, Rami Elhanan, an Israeli whose daughter Smadar was killed along with four others in a suicide bombing in Jerusalem’s Rehov Ben-Yehuda pedestrian mall in 1997, said it was his “moral duty” to act in support of Palestinians in Gaza because reconciliation was the surest path to peace.

“Those 1.5 million people in Gaza are victims exactly as I am,” Elhanan, 60, said in an interview.

Other voyage organizers included the Amsterdam-based European Jews for a Just Peace and the Oakland, Californiabased Jewish Voice for Peace.

Another Israeli passenger is Yonatan Shapira, a former Israel Air Force pilot and a wellknown left-wing activist who refused to serve in the territories.

Another passenger, Reuven Moskovitz, is an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor. He said his life’s mission has been to turn foes into friends.

“We are two peoples, but we have one future,” he said.

The Complacency and Complicity of America's Jews

Recently, I had a conversation with an Israeli cousin who asserted that all the world's Jews should live in Israel. Recognizing that there is no other place in the world in which Jews are truly welcome, he argued that if all the Jews of the Diaspora actually lived in Israel, it would be much easier to contain the threat of annihilation through a larger population of people willing and able to fight for that country's survival.

I disagreed. I argued that now more than ever, it is extremely important to have outspoken Jews living in the United States. Israel needs allies willing to support her, not only in military conflicts, but also in the public relations war that she faces on a daily basis as vicious anti-Semites continually demonize her and try to destroy her.

However, another Jewish New Year passed with hundreds of liberal rabbis across America participating in Obama's sales pitch known as his High Holiday conference call. Many of these rabbis heeded the president's orders and took his message to their congregations on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. I have to wonder if American Jews offer any practical support to Israel's future survival.

Last year, Obama hosted a conference call with nine hundred American rabbis during which he stated, "We are God's partners in matters of life and death," and then gave them marching orders to sell Obamacare to their congregants. After my rabbi followed the president's orders and pronounced in his Yom Kippur sermon that it was God's commandment to support universal health care, I contacted him to discuss his sermon and its rationale. My rabbi suggested that perhaps I should find another shul -- so I did. But the very disturbing aspect of this incident is that the reformed Jewish movement is supposed to be the most welcoming -- the sect of the Jewish faith passing the least amount of judgment and having the widest open arms.

So, it was somewhat comforting to hear that this year, Obama only had six hundred rabbis who participated in his High Holiday call. I was hopeful that this decrease of 33% was due to his abysmal record with regard to Israel and that the majority of the participating rabbis were simply showing respect and would not act the part of the sheeple they had in the previous year. Apparently I was wrong.

At a conservative shul in Baltimore, the same rabbi that earlier in the year used his sermon as an occasion to call Israel an "occupying entity" and later question Israel's biblical right to the land of Canaan used his Yom Kippur sermon to explain to the congregants why they should support the Ground Zero Mosque -- just as Obama instructed. And if one political issue were not enough, this rabbi also told the thousand or so seated in the audience that they must support the administration's opposition to the Arizona immigration law.

I would have walked out. This sermon is revolting. In the first place how is it possible that a “Rabbi” can question the biblical rights of Jews to Israel? Clearly he has no business being a Rabbi since he obviously doesn’t even believe in the basis of Judaism. It’s clear that he and these other liberal “Rabbis” are nothing more than leftist infiltrators out to destroy true Judaism.

Liberal American Jews have blurred the line between complacency and complicity, which will have devastating consequences on Israel's future. They are complacent because they blindly voted for the most anti-Israel president in history, ignoring the very clear warning signs prior to his election [i].

These same people are becoming complicit with Obama's Mideast policies. These policies have been harmful to Israel and its Jewish population since Obama's first day in office, when he phoned Mahmoud Abbas. Obama attempted to force a peace process when one is not possible. America's Jews quietly sit by when Time Magazine publishes a cover story entitled "Why Israel Doesn't Care About Peace" that follows the same old "blame Israel" mantra. Jews continue to read The New York Times and The Washington Post despite the anti-Israel bias so clearly evident in the reporting. American Jews sit in shuls with sheeple rabbis who obey the marching orders of an anti-Israeli president -- all without uttering a word.

In one very popular synagogue in Manhattan, I'm told the rabbi received a standing ovation after his sermon in support of the Ground Zero Mosque. How many of those congregants are aware of the statements and views of the imam who is the proponent of the Ground Zero Mosque (as well as a representative of the U.S. State Department)? Are they aware that Imam Rauf, the man who refuses to call Hamas a terrorist organization and who has direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, also rues the day Israel was created, or that he supports a one-state solution in the Mideast that would lead to the eventual destruction of the Jewish State? Do they know that he stated, "In a true peace it is impossible that a purely Jewish state of Palestine can endure ... In a true peace, Israel will, in our lifetimes, become one more Arab country, with a Jewish minority"?

Even more revolting that these congregants would give a standing ovation to such an abhorrent sermon in defense of the proposed islamic supremacist ground zero mosque in which those behind it wish to wipe out the Jewish people. What sort of psychological illness drives them to embrace their enemies? They have no business calling themselves Jews. Their religion isn’t Judaism, it is liberalism.

Peace Processors Need To Shut-Up And Stay Out Of Israel’s Business

Bibi needs to ignore the demands of Bill Clinton, Hillary, Obama and George Mitchell. What gives these people the right to make demands upon the people of Israel who actually have to live with the dire consequences of their policies while the peace processors themselves are safely ensconced thousands of miles away? The muslim-arabs referred to as “palestinians” have NO RIGHT to sovereignty over any part of Israel and building must resume immediately. As though Israel isn’t miniscule enough, these people demand that Israel further reduce itself in size by surrendering territory to genocidal mass murderers, modern day nazis. There are no “settlements” and there is no “occupation” in eastern Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria. Jewish people are merely exercising their historical and legal rights to live in these areas. There NEVER was a sovereign nation-state of Palestine, Jerusalem was NEVER the capital of any Arab-muslim state and it was not a historically divided city. It was only divided between 1948-1967 when Jordan illegally occupied eastern Jerusalem and ethnically cleansed its Jews. That is the only reason it became “Arab” east Jerusalem. Jews were in Israel thousands of years before the Arab conquest and thousands of years before the existence of islam. I’m tired of hearing that this land belongs to the arab-muslims and that Jews have usurped their land. It is the arab-muslims who really occupy Jewish land. We must put an end to these myths once and for all.

I responded, “Don’t give me this, you came here from a jail cell. It’s a lot bigger than your jail cell.”

It is truly astounding that Bill Clinton, who in the 1970′s was visiting Moscow and conducting Anti-American rallies on behalf of the Kremlin, had the gall to tell, Sharansky, who had risked his life as a political dissident during the 1970′s fighting the Kremlin, that he should be satisfied that his new country is bigger than the old jail cell where the Soviet authorities had stuck him.

Just be happy that we’re allowing you to keep half of the 8,500 square miles, instead of a few meters in a prison cell. That was the message from the red-faced leader of the free world. And under it, the subtext that if you don’t like it, a prison cell might still be waiting for you. Perhaps somewhere under the Hague by the diktat of the ICC.

This isn’t the first time that Sharansky had heard that particular message. In 1978, while Bill Clinton was starting his political career, Sharansky was being sentenced by a Soviet court to 13 years of forced labor in the Siberian Gulag. In his response to the court, Sharansky declared; “For more that two thousand years the Jewish people, my people, have been dispersed. But wherever they are, wherever Jews are found, every year they have repeated,’Next year in Jerusalem.’ Now, when I am further than ever from my people… facing many arduous years of imprisonment, I say, turning to my people… ‘Next year in Jerusalem.’”

According to Clinton, Russian Jews are the biggest obstacles to peace, followed by Mizrahi Jews who escaped Muslim rule. Naturally these are the groups in Israel who are the least naive about what happens when you surrender to tyrants. While many of the Israeli lefties, the grand-children and great-grandchildren of native Israelis whom Clinton interacts with, the cultural elite who live in Tel Aviv and rarely set foot outside it unless they’re paying a visit to Paris or Brussels, have forgotten the reality that lurks in the hills of the Shomron.

And what of the country that Clinton and his successors have tried to reduce until it is hardly more than a jail cell.

How is it that Andrew Cuomo leads Paladino by 19 points in the NY gubernatorial race? Cuomo not only supports the ground zero islamic supremacist mosque but as Attorney General of NY state, has refused to investigate the stealth jihadists behind the mosque. Cuomo is also almost single handedly responsible for the financial crisis when, as secretary of HUD under Clinton, FORCED banks to provide mortgages for unqualified borrowers under threat of suing them for redlining.

Having dealt with them and gone through similar fruitless peace processes in which offers were turned down by the PA, he ought to know better. Netanyahu expresses regret over comments made in 'Foreign Policy' report; Yisrael Beitenu, Natan Sharansky heavily criticize claims.


Russian immigrants in Israel could be one of the main obstacles to achieving peace with the Palestinians, Bill Clinton told reporters in New York on Tuesday, according to Foreign Policy magazine.

The former US president reportedly said that children of immigrants who serve in the IDF have difficulties imagining any division of land that may in the future be part of a peace agreement.


Clinton highlighted that the large numbers of Russian immigrants and settlers serving in the IDF could make it difficult for the army to confront settlers if this was required and feared this could cause problems in the future, according to the report.

The people who are most opposed to dividing the land are the settlers and the Russians, the former president noted, and an increasing number of people serving in the army are children of these groups.

According to the report Clinton said this poses a serious problem. He also pointed out that Israel has changed and some 16% of Israelis now speak Russian.

Clinton said that Russian immigrants are among the people in Israel that are least interested in reaching a peace agreement with the Palestinians.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu expressed regret on Wednesday over comments made by Clinton.

"As an old friend of Israel, Clinton must know that immigrants from the former Soviet Union have made a huge contribution to the strengthening and development of Israel and the IDF," said Netanyahu.

Clinton criticizes Sharansky, Sharansky refutes claims

The magazine claimed that Clinton talked about a conversation that he had with Natan Sharansky, who, according to Clinton, was the only Israeli minister to reject the comprehensive peace agreement Clinton proposed at the Camp David Summit in 2000.

"I said, ‘Natan, what is the deal [about not supporting the peace deal],'" Clinton was quoted as saying. "He said, ‘I can't vote for this, I'm Russian... I come from one of the biggest countries in the world to one of the smallest. You want me to cut it in half. No, thank you.'"

Sharansky, The Jewish Agency chairman denied Wednesday that the alleged coversation ever took place. “A report of President Clinton's comments has been brought to my attention which I hope is inaccurate."

“However, as to the basic facts, I was never at Camp David and never had the opportunity to discuss the negotiations there with President Clinton," said Sharansky.

Yisrael Beitenu say Clinton made "crude generalizations"

Yisrael Beitenu, a party comprised mainly of Russian immigrants, condemned Clinton's comments claiming that Clinton made "crude generalizations."

"It seems that Clinton has forgotten that it was the [former] chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat who refused to Clinton's peace offer, which included unbearable concessions on the part of Israel," said a statement released by the party.

The statement also said that "the people of Israel are one, and the Russian immigrants, as the other citizens of Israel, yearn for true peace based on recognition of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people."

Arab land dealer who sold to Israelis: ‘I fear for my life’

Claims senior PA officials have themselves sold property to Jews, appeals to Israeli authorities and philanthropists to help him.

One day after the Palestinian Authority reaffirmed the death penalty for Palestinians who sell land to Israelis, one of the most prominent Arab land dealers called on the Israeli authorities to help him and other Palestinians whose lives are at risk.

The veteran land dealer, who asked not to be identified by name – although his identity is known to the PA and many Arab residents in Jerusalem – also appealed to settler groups and American Jewish millionaire Irwin Moskowitz for assistance.

The PA’s latest threat should be taken “very seriously,” the land dealer, who belongs to a large clan in the city, told The Jerusalem Post.

The PA “has many agents in east Jerusalem who serve as informants and enforcers,” he said.

He pointed out that in the past, members of various branches of the PA security forces had abducted and murdered Palestinians suspected of selling land to Israelis. Most of these extra-judicial killings took place between 1995 and 1998, he said.

“I’m really afraid for my life,” the land dealer said. “I have sold a lot of land and houses to Jews over the past 30 years and the Palestinian Authority knows about me.”

He claimed that senior PA officials had also been involved in selling Arabowned houses and land to Israeli settler groups and wealthy American Jews.

“I have all the evidence with me,” he told the Post. “One day I will reveal the identities of top Palestinian civilian and security officials who were involved in such transactions.”

The land dealer, who avoids entering PA-controlled territories in the West Bank, said that he personally acted as mediator and facilitator in some of the deals involving the Palestinian officials.

“The senior officials made a lot of money by selling land and buildings to Israelis in Jerusalem,” he continued.

“They got their kickbacks and became rich.”

Asked why he was withholding the names of the PA officials, he replied: “The day will arrive when I will reveal everything.

They know that they have good reason to be afraid of me.”

He said that among the groups he has helped buy property in east Jerusalem were Ateret Cohanim and Elad. He said he also had a close working relationship with Moskowitz.

The PA security forces tried many times to recruit him as an informant, but to no avail, the land dealer said.

“I don’t trust the Palestinian Authority because most of their leaders and security commanders are in touch with the Shin Bet and Mossad,” he said. “They are mercenaries whose only aim in life is to make as much money as possible. With money you can buy the biggest official in Ramallah.”

The land dealer also told the Post that in the past he paid “protection money” to several PA security forces so that they would not harm him.

“But as soon as I stopped paying them, they started issuing death threats against me for selling land and houses to Jews,” he explained.

“When I used to pay them, it was okay to sell land to Jews. When I stopped, suddenly it became illegal and forbidden.”

The decision to impose the death sentence on Palestinians who sell land to Israelis showed that the PA leadership “was not serious about peace,” he said.

He believes that the decision is first and foremost designed to “cover up” for the corruption of many senior Palestinian officials involved in land deals with Israelis.

“The Palestinian leaders want to appear as patriots in the eyes of their people,” he concluded. “That’s why they have decided to use the death penalty against us.”

Asked if he had been deterred, the land dealer said: “I will continue to work in my business regardless of the threats. It’s a very dangerous business, but I don’t care. As we speak, there are many others who are selling their homes and land to Israelis in Jerusalem, particularly in the Old City. I know that I could be killed any minute, and that’s why I want the Israeli government and all the Jews I have helped to stand with me and not to throw me to the dogs.”

New Book By Eyewitness Turkish Journalist: Mavi Marmara Militants Planned Attack on Israeli Soldiers to Force Confrontation

We now have the definitive source on the Mavi Marmara affair and it proves Israel was right. The ship was controlled by radical Jihadists who planned to attack Israeli forces and provoke confrontation. The source is a book, including photos, by a Turkish journalist named ?efik Dinç who was on the ship.

Dinç is sympathetic to the militants but also points to the responsibility of the Turkish government and the IHH, the sponsoring Islamist group, for the crisis. His text and pictures show the Jihadists taking out iron bars and clubs, preparing for battle, beating Israeli soldiers, and trying to throw one of them into the sea. Dinç also reports that Israeli soldiers opened fire only trying to rescue soldiers taken hostage. His account corresponds in almost every detail with that given by Israel.

He writes: “When everyone who had been assigned a task reported to their stations, clubs were taken out of a hiding place….In addition to the wooden clubs I’d seen earlier, there were now iron bars as well.” Those passengers not choosing to participate in the attack went down to lower decks. The first three soldiers who landed were beaten and dragged to the upper deck. When they tried to throw a soldier overboard, some non-Jihadi passengers intervened and stopped them; others sought to stop the beatings.

The report from a very reliable Israeli research center that translated extracts from the book also contains more detailed information than I’ve seen before from the Israeli side about what happened:

“IHH operatives and their supporters fired live ammunition as soon as the first soldiers descended from the helicopter. One IDF soldier suffered a knee injury from a non-IDF weapon as soon as he came on board the ship….IHH operatives used three weapons taken from the Israelis against other IDF soldiers. It appears that two of them were thrown into the sea, as were one or two non-IDF [guns], at least one of which was used to fire on the commandos descending from the helicopter.”

Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore says he has raised over $50,000 for the construction of a mosque and Muslim community center near Ground Zero.

Moore made an appeal to his supporters on the ninth anniversary of 9/11 for donations to the construction project, pledging to match contributions up to $10,000.

Less than 48 hours later, five times that amount had poured into the contribution coffers as hundreds of people from around the country heeded Moore’s call.

“Times are tough economically, and supporting our Muslim brothers and sisters is not a popular thing to do right now,” Moore said on his blog. “I am truly touched by your generosity — and people around the world will know that you, too, represent an America they rarely get to see.”

The proposed mosque, known as Park51, will include a swimming pool and a theater and is expected to cost more than $100 million.

More than 70% of the American people oppose its construction.

Moore on his blog took these people to task.

“Blaming a whole group for the actions of just one of that group is anti-American,” Moore wrote. “Timothy McVeigh was Catholic. Should Oklahoma City prohibit the building of a Catholic Church near the site of the former federal building that McVeigh blew up?”

Not only is moore a douchebag, but completely and utterly ignorant. McVeigh was not motivated to bomb that building in the name of Catholism. He was not indoctrinated by the Catholic church to kill non-believers. On the other hand, the 9/11 jihadists committed mass murder in the name of islam. It was islamic doctrine which motivated their actions.

In a further attempt to add gas to the fire, Moore urged Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who is spearheading the Park51 project, to build the new mosque not two blocks from Ground Zero but on Ground Zero.

“I am opposed to the building of the “mosque” two blocks from Ground Zero. I want it built on Ground Zero,” Moore said.

The director rationalized this statement by insisting that Islam was “stolen” from the real Muslims at the Twin Towers, and it should be given back to them on the same spot.

“There is a McDonald’s two blocks from Ground Zero. Trust me, McDonald’s has killed far more people than the terrorists,” Moore added.

In his statements, Moore likened Mohammad Atta and the other 9/11 terrorists to the Catholics on the Supreme Court. He wrote:

“Let’s face it, all religions have their whackos. Catholics have O’Reilly, Gingrich, Hannity and Clarence Thomas – - in fact all five conservatives who dominate the Supreme Court are Catholic. Protestants have Pat Robertson and too many to list here. The Mormons have Glenn Beck. Jews have Crazy Eddie. But we don’t judge whole religions on just the actions of their whackos. Unless they’re Methodists.”

How many people have O’Reilly, Gingrich, Hannity, Thomas, Beck, Robertson, the conservatives on the Supreme Court murdered? Moore can’t possibly be serious about equating these men with al qaeda mass murderers.

Turkey Should Be Treated As An Enemy

Given that Turkey has declared war on the west by aligning itself with the jihad axis of Iran, Syria, hamas and hezbollah, the country ought to be treated with pariah status and kicked out of NATO. But instead of treating it as the enemy it has become, we are rewarding Turkey with advanced fighter jets and treating its recent measures towards greater islamization and away from secularism as though these are democratic reforms. In fact we should be aiding the Kurds in their struggle. The west is its own worst enemy.

You have to hand it to Turkey’s Islamist leaders. They sure know how to get their way. In the seven years since they first took power, the Islamist AKP party has successfully transformed Turkey from a staunch ally of the US and Israel and a member of NATO into a staunch ally of Iran and a member of NATO.

And that’s not all. Turkey’s Islamist leaders have used the Western language of democracy and freedom not only to abandon the West. They have used that language to destroy the foundations of Turkey’s Western-style secular democracy and transform the governing system of NATO’s sole Muslim member into a hybrid of Putinist autocracy and Iranian theocracy.

On September 12, the AKP took an enormous step toward consolidating its achievements and expanding its power. The Islamist regime won a national plebiscite on constitutional amendments that remove the remaining obstacles to its absolute power.

As a National Review reader noted, the vote was a mockery of democracy. It was held at the end of Ramadan during which the AKP provided 30 consecutive free post- Ramadan fast dinners to voters in key voting districts.

SINCE TAKING office, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his party have used both lawful and unlawful means to intimidate, repress and silence all significant organs of secularist opposition to their rolling Islamic revolution. The media, civil service, police and business community have all been co-opted and intimidated into submission.

According to the Kemalist constitution, the military was the constitutional protector of secular Turkey. It was constitutionally bound to combat all threats to Turkey’s secular regime – including threats posed by political parties and political leaders. Over the past seven years, the AKP has done everything it could to demoralize and criminalize the military’s leadership and eviscerate the military’s constitutional powers and organizational independence. Most recently, President Abdullah Gul began intervening in promotions of generals to block all non-Islamists from acquiring command positions.

The constitutional amendments just passed further emasculate the military, placing it under the jurisdiction of AKP-controlled civilian courts.

In 1980, in accordance with its constitutional responsibility, the military ousted a precursor of the AKP from power in what the West incorrectly characterized as a coup. The new constitutional amendments make the military commanders who ousted the Islamists vulnerable to criminal prosecution for their actions. No doubt, in the near future these generals will be brought into court in shackles and charged with subverting the will of the people.

The message to any general with any thought of removing Erdogan and his colleagues will be crystal clear.

Aside from the chastened military, the only remaining outpost of secular power in Turkey has been the judiciary. In the past, the judiciary has overturned many of the government’s actions that it ruled were unconstitutional and illegal. The new constitutional amendments will work to end judicial independence by giving the government control over judicial appointments. The AKP’s justice minister will also have increased power to open investigations against judges and prosecutors.

Not surprisingly, Erdogan has praised the results of the plebiscite. As he put it, “The winner today was Turkish democracy.”

Israeli officials MUST start asserting Jewish rights to ALL of Israel. They must stop allowing the perpetuation of the lie that Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria are “illegal settlements”. Those responsible for crafting resolution 242 such as Eugene Rostow are themselves on record as stating that the Jewish communities are legal. Israeli officials also must stop using loaded terms like “occupation” “settlers”, “settlements”, “West Bank”. These are the terms created by her enemies. And finally, the Jewish presence in Israel goes back thousands of years before the Arab conquest and thousands of years before islam existed. The claim that Jews are “usurpers” of Arab land and that Arabs are the indigenous people is an obscenity. When Israel doesn’t stand up for itself, it is no surprise that other countries disrespect its sovereign rights.

Dutch local authorities turn backs on Israeli delegation

Lieberman slams decision made after discovery that settler council heads were group participants, but stresses decision not made by Netherlands government.

The Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) withdrew its support from an October trip of Israeli mayors to Holland after it learned that settler council heads were among the group’s participants.

In a letter sent out on Thursday, the association said that the Union of Local Authorities, which had helped organize the trip, had not initially provided information regarding the list of participants when it requested organizational support.

“Surely you are well aware that the composition proposed is controversial, which places VNG in a very delicate position vis-a-vis different stake holders,” the association said in a letter.

It added that it had informed the Dutch Foreign Ministry and the Israeli Embassy in Holland of its decision. The Association could not be reached for comment.

The Union of Local Authorities and settler leaders publicly attacked the decision on Sunday. Although the letter never explicitly stated an objection to “settlers,” Israelis told The Jerusalem Post that this was in fact the issue.

With this move, “Holland has not helped peace in the region,” Local Authorities head Shlomo Buhbut said in a letter he sent to the Dutch ambassador to Israel Sunday.

In a conversation with the Post he further alleged that the Dutch Foreign Ministry had pressured the Association to withdraw its support from the trip, which he said, was organized under the auspices of the Joint Distribution Committee.

Settler leaders such as Efrat Council head Oded Revivi and Avi Naim of the Beit Aryeh-Ofarim Regional Council, who had planned to travel to the Netherlands, noted that the group was composed of a variety of the country’s leaders including Israeli Arabs.

“They can have what ever opinion they want about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict but declaring that some [Israeli] mayors are not acceptable guests is disturbing,” said Revivi.

The Council of Jewish Communities of Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip said in response that “friends do not boycott friends.” It added that Israel’s response should be, “we’re fighting together against radical Islam. Strengthen us, do not boycott us.”

The council also posted a list of the Dutch parliamentarians’ e-mail addresses to encourage the public to send them letters in protest of the decision.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Sunday that the decision by VNG not to set up meetings for their Israeli counterparts because of the presence of heads of settlement councils underscored the problem with the government’s settlement construction moratorium.

“I think that this only proves how the freeze was not right, because a continuation of the freeze only gives legitimization to boycotts that perhaps start with the heads of municipalities in Judea and Samaria, and then extends to boycotts of products from Judea and Samaria, and then will reach boycotts against all Israeli municipality heads and Israeli products,” Lieberman said in an Army Radio interview.

Lieberman stressed that the decision was not made by the Dutch government, but rather by the association of municipalities which is an independent body.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman added that the Dutch authorities never said the delegation could not come, or that no one would meet with it – only that the local council body would not arrange meetings.

“The foreign minister of Holland is a big friend of Israel, and we have constant contact with him,” Lieberman said of his Dutch colleague, Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen. “The local authority organization is an independent body that is not subordinate to the

Foreign Ministry,” he said.

A spokesman for the Dutch Embassy in Tel Aviv confirmed that the decision was made by VNG, and was not a federal government decision. The spokesman said the Dutch government “respects” the decision of that body. He said that Dutch policy on the settlements is in line with that of the EU.

Last Thursday, after a meeting of EU heads of state, the EU put out a declaration saying that “The European Union recalls that settlements are illegal under international law and calls for an extension of the moratorium decided by Israel.”

Al-Qaeda on Capitol Hill: Congressional Muslim Staffers Association Embraces Islamic Radicals and Terrorists

When a report challenging our national security policy of ignoring Islamic supremacism through Islamic law, “Shariah: The Threat to America,” was released during a Capitol Hill press conference on Wednesday (disclosure: I was one of the co-authors of the report), among the chief critics were representatives from the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association (CMSA). This group, which has been briefing both Democrat and Republican congressional leadership in recent months that there is nothing inherently violent in Islamic law, has a very poor history of embracing Islamic radicals and even Al-Qaeda terrorists.

Immediately after 9/11, the CMSA [Congressional Muslim Staffers Association] began holding Friday afternoon prayer services on Capitol Hill. Who did they choose to lead them in their prayers? Al-Qaeda sheikh Anwar al-Aulaqi, who is currently subject to a kill or capture order issued by President Obama. In fact, video of Aulaqi preaching to the CMSA was included in the 2002 documentary, “Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet.” That video clip is available to view by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Identified in that clip listening to the Al-Qaeda cleric are Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR); then-CAIR Communications specialist Randall “Ismail” Royer, who is currently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence on terrorism charges; and sitting directly beside Royer is CMSA founder and former president Jameel Alim Johnson.

The invitation to an Al-Qaeda cleric who already had been tied to two of the 9/11 hijackers (as reported in the 9/11 Commission Report) to lead CMSA prayers is not the only troubling aspect of Jameel Johnson’s congressional record. In December 2007, I reported on an Islamic conference on Capitol Hill that had been scheduled by Johnson as chief of staff from Congressman Gregory Meeks. The conference was canceled at the last minute by the House of Representatives Sergeant-at-Arms when it was discovered that the conference scheduled by Johnson was to feature a long list of Islamic radicals, some of whom were known to be on the terror watch list.

So when the CMSA leadership squeal to the media about anyone offering an alternative view to our failed foreign and domestic policy of submitting to Islamic radicalism, we only need look at the record of CMSA as an organization, and its leadership as individuals, giving radicals and terrorists, such as Anwar Al-Aulaqi, their voice on Capitol Hill.

But the infiltration of our highest government institutions is not limited to the CMSA. In 1991, the first Muslim cleric to deliver opening prayers for Congress was Siraj Wahhaj, who two years later was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing trial, and who also served as a character witness for the defense of terrorist leader Omar Abdel Rahman. Wahhaj has openly called for the destruction of American democracy to be replaced by an Islamic state governed by shariah.

Another regular fixture on Capitol Hill for more than a decade was Abdurahman Alamoudi, friend to Democrats and Republicans alike, and arguably the most prominent Islamic leader in America. As president of the American Muslim Council, he advised US presidents and was courted by a number of presidential candidates, established the Muslim chaplain program for the Department of Defense, worked with Republican activist Grover Norquist to establish the Islamic Institute lobbying organization, and served on the advisory board for CAIR.

Today, Abdurahman Alamoudi is no longer roaming the halls of Congress or having lunch at the White House. He was arrested in 2003 and is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for his role in a plot to assassinate Saudi King Abdullah at the request of Libyan intelligence. In July 2005, the US Treasury Department publicly admitted that Alamoudi, while he was the most influential Islamic leader in Washington D.C., was also the top Al-Qaeda fundraiser in the US. Treasury officials stated that Alamoudi’s arrest was “a severe blow to Al-Qaeda”.

This is precisely the kind of infiltration and willful blindness to the threat to America posed by Muslim Brotherhood front organizations we cited in our report issued this week. Continuing to ignore this threat, as urged by the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association and the Council on American-Islamic Relations, will only lead us further into submission to the advocates of a global Islamic state and the imposition of shariah.

Luxuries in Gaza

The western media will never show the public these images from Gaza of people having fun at a water park, or the luxury hotels and restaurants, olympic size swimming pool and the outdoor markets which feature an abundance of fruits and vegetables and the grocery stores with stocked shelves, not to mention the new shopping mall. All of these things show residents of Gaza to be living middle class lifestyles and that there is no humanitarian crisis whatsoever. It also proves that the flotillas and fake "humanitarian" groups attempting to break the Israeli blockade are really jihadists aiding hamas' war of annihilation against Israel. Real humanitarians would concern themselves with the people of Sudan where there truly is a humanitarian catastrophe and genocide occurring.

The Greatest Danger To Jews is the Jewish Left

The psychologically damaged Jewish intellectual left will be the cause of a second holocaust. They present a greater danger to Jews than hamas, hezbollah or the genocidal Iranian regime. It is the Jewish intellectual left which is abetting these forces against Israel. I differ with Barry Rubin in that I don’t believe the Jewish left is throwing away their own interests for the rest of humanity. The Jewish left is actually extremely selfish and cowardly, willing to sacrifice the Jews of Israel in order to make life more comfortable in the diaspora for themselves.

It’s always fascinating to find historical parallels to contemporary events. When one discovers an obscure gem of this type, cutting the stone to let it reflect the light of truth is irresistible.

For well over a century, the Jewish people have been beset by an eleventh plague inside their own house: extreme left-wing intellectuals who urge they throw away their own interests, concerns, and even lives for the supposed higher ones of humanity or the chimera of being morally perfect.

According to this view, their supposed true interests lie in bringing about utopia for everyone, paved by abandoning their own aspirations, dissolving their identity while other groups are encouraged to do the opposite.

While I admire Bertram Wolfe for things he did in later life, he spent thirty earlier years campaigning for Communism. During that period he produced one of the greatest examples in this genre of left-wing calls for Jewish suicide. On April 6, 1939, Wolfe made a speech to the Keep America Out of War Congress, opposing U.S. involvement in the looming war in Europe against the Nazis, the worst persecutor of the Jewish people (so far) in modern times.

Wolfe was then an exemplar of what has become known recently by the name “As-a-Jew.” That is, those who never identify as a member of the Jewish people or religion except when bashing some aspect of it, usually in our era, Israel. So they start their rant by saying, “As a Jew…” I oppose this or that thing. (With the implied meaning: Aren’t I a great and noble person!)

In this tradition, Wolfe’s speech ordered Jews to sacrifice themselves for a left-wing cause based on a distorted left-wing view of reality:

The element that makes the war party [who want to fight Nazi Germany] so much larger in New York than elsewhere in this country, [are] those whose anguish blinds their visions as each day their spirits are bruised and shocked afresh by the daily budget of news of Jewish persecutions throughout the world. Profiting by their anguish which amounts to hysteria, there are those who would sell them the coming war as a war against antisemitism. And this is the more dangerous delusion because the growth of militarism and reaction in this country is bringing with it the growth of antisemitism.

In those days, “New York” was a code word, often used by anti-Semites, for Jews. True, he expresses sympathy to gain credibility but only uses it to warn that the worst thing Jews could do was to advocate a war against Hitler.

Why? The left always portrays the true threat to Jews in America as being from the right-wing. Of course, historically there was real truth in it — Charles Lindbergh made a similar antis-Semitic speech at the time — and of course it was quite true in Europe at the time. Still, everyone remembers that conservative British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain practiced appeasement; nobody remembers that the Labor Party voted against Chamberlain’s last-minute reversal of that policy to rearm Britain’s army.

Those conservatives in America — as well as the more numerous liberals doing so — advocating the United States ally with Britain and France to fight Nazi Germany weren’t anti-Semitic. On the contrary, the isolationists were anti-Semites. And those anti-Semites on the extreme isolationist right held precisely the same view as Wolfe and the Communists or pacifists on the left. Both extremes were enemies of the Jews, not just one. And you are also free to make a modern-day parallel to that paragraph.

Why were Wolfe and his comrades against American involvement in war? Not because they were pacifists or defenders of the poor and downtrodden, but because they were following the interests of the Soviet Union, interests which in a few weeks would lead that country to ally with Hitler and seize the Baltic states and eastern Poland. Indeed, that very Soviet state so idealized by all too many Jewish intellectuals was systematically destroying the Jewish religion and culture while killing Jews in numbers far exceeded in modern times only by the Nazis and their loyal allies.

To summarize, Wolfe, in line with the current Communist political line, was warning Jews not to support war against Nazi Germany, claiming that such a war would be against Jewish interests and stir up anti-Semitism in the United States. He and his comrades advocated standing by and watching while the Nazis conquered most of the world and murdered all of the Jews there. When they changed their line, in June 1941, it was only because Germany attacked their Soviet idol, not out of concern for the Jews of Europe or the defense of democracy.

There was a time in America when if a soldier went on enemy television defaming the U.S. military, it would have been considered an act of treason. Report: 'Draw Muhammad' cartoonist changes name, goes into hiding at FBI's insistence

Seattle Weekly announced today that it will no longer run Molly Norris's artwork. The newspaper is also reporting that legally, there is no more "Molly Norris."

Norris -- the Seattle-based illustrator whose cartoon sparked "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day!" earlier this year and a subsequent fatwa against her -- has gone into hiding and changed her name at the guidance of the FBI, reports the Seattle Weekly, which says:

"The gifted artist is alive and well, thankfully. But on the insistence of top security specialists at the FBI, she is, as they put it, 'going ghost': moving, changing her name, and essentially wiping away her identity. She will no longer be publishing cartoons in our paper or in City Arts magazine, where she has been a regular contributor."

Seattle Weekly also says that the artist likens the situation to cancer -- the threat could be benign, it could be more serious and sudden.

Comic Riffs last communicated with Norris in July. Attempts to contact her Wednesday were unsuccessful.

Several months ago, FBI officials alerted Norris to what they were treating as a "very serious threat," according to a report. At that time, Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki said that Norris was a "prime target" for execution and that her "proper abode is hellfire."

Awlaki, a New Mexico-born 39-year-old, has been called arguably the highest-profile English-speaking supporter of violent jihad. He has been linked to the recent Times Square bombing attempt and reportedly inspired Texas's Fort Hood massacre.

Norris drew her "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!" cartoon in April in response to Comedy Central's editing of its program "South Park" and the animated show's attempts to depict Muhammad -- and to satirize reactions to any effort to ridicule Muhammad.

On April 25, shortly after Norris created her "anti-censorship" cartoon, Comic Riffs broke the news that Norris was distancing herself from the illustration:

"I made a cartoon that went viral but [this campaign] isn't really my thing," Norris told Comic Riffs. "Other folks have taken it over."

Several months ago, Norris's April YouTube video of her explanation for the cartoon was "removed by the user." In that video, Norris apologized to "everyone of the Muslim faith who has or will be offended" by her cartoon and supported calling off "Everyone Draw Mohammed Day," which was staged May 20. She also urged America's Muslims and non-Muslims to come together -- to meet "halfway."

Liberal Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer implies that globalization should hinder the First Amendment rights of Americans. He suggests koran burning is not protected by the First Amendment, comparing it to shouting fire in a crowded theater. So in other words, the free speech rights of Americans must be tempered in order not to provoke violence from seventh century savages who liberals obviously believe cannot be expected to be held responsible for their own behavior. Justice Breyer Suggests That Burning a Quran Could be Like Shouting ‘Fire’ in a Crowded Theatre–Thus Not Protected by 1st Amendment


Supreme Court Associate Justice Stephen Breyer said on Tuesday that globalization may change the way the First Amendment applies in the United States, and he suggested that Pastor Terry Jones’ proposed Quran-burning may or may not be protected under the First Amendment.

Breyer — appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” to promote his book “Making Our Democracy Work” — made the comments to anchor George Stephanopoulos.

Stephanopoulos was a senior adviser to President Bill Clinton when Breyer was elevated to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1994. The ABC anchorman asked the justice to explain whether globalization, and Jones’s ability to broadcast his actions, poses “a challenge” to the First Amendment.

“[W]hen we spoke several years ago, you talked about how the process of globalization was changing our understanding of the law,” Stephanopoulos began. “When you think about the Internet and when you think about the possibility that, you know, a pastor in Florida with a flock of 30 can threaten to burn the Quran, and that leads to riots and killings in Afghanistan, does that pose a challenge to the First Amendment—to how you interpret it? Does it change the nature of…what we can allow and protect?”

“Well, in a sense, yes; in a sense, no,” Breyer replied. “People can express their views in debate, no matter how awful those views are — in debate, a conversation, people exchanging ideas. That’s the model so that, in fact, we are better informed when we cast that ballot.”

While the “core values remain,” Breyer continued, “how they apply can change” over time, he suggested.

Breyer pointed to Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes’ opinion in a 1919 case testing the limits of First Amendment protection. Holmes argued that shouting “fire!” in a crowded theater would not be protected speech because people could be trampled in the rush to escape a burning theater.

“And what is the crowded theater today?” Breyer asked. “What is being trampled to death?”

On Tuesday morning, Breyer said any new interpretation of the First Amendment and the “crowded theater” benchmark will be decided over time through jurisprudence.

“Yes, well perhaps that will be answered by—if it’s answered by our court, it will be answered over time in a series of cases, which force people to think carefully. That’s the virtue of cases,” he said

Now, theatre people adopt “causes.” They sign petitions. They march. They make unexpectedly long speeches at the Academy Awards apologizing for America’s extermination of native Indians and for slavery. They adopt politically correct children as well as causes. Thus, it is no surprise that the current crop have elected to join the worldwide de-legitimization of Israel project.

Thus, Israeli writers and theatre people are refusing to perform at a new Cultural Center in the city of Ariel, located in Samaria and over the Green Line. And, American theatre people are backing them to the hilt.

When have American academics and theatre people last refused to travel to, buy products from, or lecture, appear in performance in Jordan (clothing, manufactured goods), Egypt (oil, textiles, cotton), Saudi Arabia (oil), Turkey (oil, metals, textiles, manufactured goods) or Pakistan (textiles, manufactured goods)? Surely the human rights records of these countries cry out for free people of goodwill to do just that in response to the large number of honor-related crimes, including honor killings, the forced veiling of women, persecution of Christians and other infidels, the torture and imprisonment of artists and dissidents, the non-stop Islamist terrorist attacks against Muslims, and the “manufacture” and distribution of the most vicious propaganda against Israel and America.

Nevertheless, in 2010, U2 performed in Turkey; also in 2010, 50 Cent performed in Egypt; Rihanna peformed in Abu Dhabi. In 2008, a German-based string quartet performed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Only Israel—G-d’s own imperfect country—bears the burden, not only of boycotters but now of non-performers. Major Broadway and off-Broadway theatre folk, critics, playwrights, writers, are standing in line to support those Israeli artists who refuse to perform in a new cultural center in the city of Ariel.

Indeed, the likes of Ed Asner, Theodore Bikel, Tony Kushner, Mandy Patinkin, Stephen Sondheim, Harold Prince, Wallace Shawn, Eve Ensler, Judith Malina, Rosanne Barr, Alicia Ostriker, as well as non-Jews such as Vanessa Redgrave, Kathleen Chalfant, Cynthia Nixon, Juliane Moore, Mira Nair, have all signed a petition supporting the Israeli theatre people who refuse to perform at Ariel. In all, 150 Americans have signed this petition. Yes, many, but not all of them, are Jews.

This recycling of the battery will significantly drop [4] the price of the vehicle down to $20,000 or less, the company claims. Better Place is confident that they can make the electric car very affordable. Customers obviously won’t have to pay for gasoline, and maintenance will be cheaper [5]. Plus, the vehicles employ a braking regeneration technology that will prolong the life of brakes.

The Israeli government has reduced [6] the tax rate on electric cars down to ten percent — from 79 percent — to help get them on the road.

The system is ready. The staff answered every skeptical question posed to them by the audience, and they even had a pricing plan prepared. Customers will pay a monthly subscription to use the infrastructure based on how many miles they drive.

Foxman Forms Solidarity With Muslims

Here is a revolting example of dhimmitude. They are being denied permission to build mosques because those behind the mosques are tied to terrorist groups like the muslim brotherhood. One month after taking a stand against construction of the proposed Islamic Cultural Center near Ground Zero in Manhattan, the Anti-Defamation League has started an interfaith coalition meant to help American Muslim communities who are facing opposition in building mosques.

The Interfaith Coalition on Mosques (ICOM) is a newly-formed organization composed of individuals and Christian, Jewish and Muslim groups, and is meant to provide support and stand with Muslims when their rights are being violated. Its charter members include ADL national director Abraham Foxman, Park Avenue Synagogue Rabbi Elliott Cosgrove, and Rabbi Yitz Greenberg, founder of the Center for Leadership and Learning and former chairman of the United States Holocaust Museum.

The group’s statement of purpose notes that “Working as the national Interfaith Coalition On Mosques (ICOM) under the sponsorship of the Anti-Defamation League, our purpose is to assist Muslim communities who are being denied permission to build mosques in their neighborhoods.

The police rarely come to their aid, nor do the politically correct media or government. Both are terrified by the criminals and terrorists who are riding these immigrant waves.

I am not talking about illegal immigrants to Europe or North America. I am describing Muslims who are penetrating India’s West Bengal region. These Bangladeshi immigrants are becoming conduits for criminal activities (arms, drugs, and sexual slavery) which also fund global jihad.

You won’t read about this in the Western mainstream media—or even in the Indian media, which has turned a blind eye to this ongoing tragedy because they are afraid to be labeled “politically incorrect” or “Islamophobic.” They are also afraid of reprisals. When Islamic zealots ransacked the office of the renowned newspaper, ‘The Statesman’ in Kolkata, in retaliation for a mere reproduction of an article condemning Islamic extremism, the Indian press remained silent. The editor and publisher of the newspaper were arrested for offending Muslim sentiments and no action was taken against the rioters.

Fortunately, there are a few very brave Hindus who are taking a stand against the Muslim terror campaign in India. One of them is Tapan Ghosh, whom I had the privilege of meeting recently when he came to New York City to talk about anti-Hindu persecution in his homeland. In 2008, Ghosh founded “Hindu Samhati” (Hindu Solidarity Movement), which serves persecuted Hindu communities in both West Bengal and Bangladesh.

I Heard an interview with former NY governor George Pataki. He is just one example of the fecklessness so prevalent amongst politicians in both parties. So Pataki's response to the koran burning controversy is that we have to watch what we say and do. Does he realize what he is saying? NGOs planning to sail up to 20 ships to Gaza in coming months; IDF closely tracking planned flotilla, preparing for wide-range of scenarios.


Israel is preparing for what is being described in the IDF as the “mother of all flotillas,” which could include up to 20 different ships planning to set sail for the Gaza Strip in the coming months.

The flotilla is being organized by a coalition of NGOs from Europe and the United States, including a group calling itself European Jews for a Just Peace.


“We hope to have a broad coalition from European countries, and also maybe the United States,” Dror Feiler, an Israeli-Swedish musician and artist who lives in Stockholm – and one of the organizers behind the flotilla – told The Jerusalem Post on Monday. “We would like it to be double the size of the last flotilla, with at least a dozen ships and more than thousand people.”

The IDF is closely tracking the planned flotilla and is preparing for a wide-range of scenarios, including the possibility that due the large number of ships, it will need to stop the flotilla far from Israel’s shores. Feiler said the large number of ships was due to the unprecedented number of people who wanted to sail to Gaza.

“The Israeli army can stop 12 or 50 ships if it wants,” he said. “There are so many ships since so many people want to get together to stop the siege, which is a collective punishment of the people of Gaza and is unacceptable.”


The last flotilla to Gaza was stopped by the navy at the end of May. During the operation, nine Turkish passengers aboard the Mavi Marmara passenger ship were killed in clashes with commandos from the navy’s Flotilla 13.

The coalition behind the new blockade-busting effort includes the Turkish IHH and the Free Gaza Movement, both of which were involved in the May flotilla. It is demanding “an immediate and complete lifting of the closure, including a lifting of the travel ban as well as the ban on exports from Gaza.”

Sharia Law Being Enforced in Kansas

Since when is it illegal to proselytize in America? Obviously this only applies if those targeted for conversion are muslims. If these were Jews or any other non-muslim religious group being proselytized, the pastor certainly would not have been arrested. I don’t expect we will hear from all those liberal ground zero mosque supporters screaming about religious freedom to speak out against this violation of religious freedom.

A pastor is facing a court date after sharing the gospel with Muslims — in Kansas.

About 14 people, including three senior pastors, went to the local mosque to distribute to Muslims packets containing the books of John and Romans in English and Arabic and a DVD with testimonies of former Muslims. Pastor Mark Holick of Spirit One Christian Center was one of those passing out the packets to people leaving the mosque.

Holick tells OneNewsNow that when local police officers arrived on the scene, he was handcuffed then detained in a patrol car, where he repeatedly asked what crime he had committed.

Handcuffs small”And then about 15 minutes later, 20 minutes later, something like that, they finally came over and told me that I was being charged with ‘loitering’ and ‘failure to disperse,’” the pastor shares.

Asked if this episode occurred in Saudi Arabia, he replies, with a chuckle: “No, this was in Wichita, Kansas.”

The pastor says it was very disconcerting to see the gospel squelched — especially on a public sidewalk in a country with a constitutional guarantee of free speech. Holick believes police are suggesting that he was blocking traffic on the driveway.

“Of course we never did do that,” he assures. “There would be no reason for us to block vehicles — and they probably have no idea how much I like all of my organs and bones perfectly in the position they’re in right now.”

Holick says serious free-speech rights are in question, so he is asking the Alliance Defense Fund to represent him. There has been no decision on that so far.

Pastor Jones Caves

I suspected this guy didn’t have the balls to follow through on the koran burning. After all, our side ALWAYS caves to muslims. I think its terrible that he is not going through with it. By making such a huge issue of burning the koran and failing to follow through has only made matters worse. The barbarians have been victorious. Now they know their threats of violence can cause us to submit to their will. And you can be sure they will employ such threats in the future to get us to back down regarding any criticism of islam or whatever else they find offensive. To those Americans who are relieved over this outcome, you have no idea the precedent this sets. Meanwhile muslims threaten and preach hate against us and destroy the holy books and houses of worship of non-muslims with impunity. By backing down, we’ve just emboldened the jihadis not pacified them. And yet so many clueless Americans will regard Pastor Jones backing down as a positive outcome. The jihadists will never back down, they are relentless in their goal to destroy us.
